Portable Wrist Strap Tester


Compact and pocket sized, the MTR-4000 provides portable, on-site resistance testing for wrist straps and foot grounders. Resistance is tested by a precision high-impedance dual bridge circuit. One-half of the bridge is formed by a 10M Ω resistor and the wrist strap/heel grounder wearer. To test, a wrist strap is plugged into the unit and the wearer then depresses the metal 'test' button to complete the circuit.
  • If resistance is too low or high, an alarm sounds and the respective LED lights. If resistance is within range, the "pass" LED lights.
  • Switchable between U.S. (.5-10 Megohms) and European (.9-35 Megohms) tolerance ranges.
  • Powered by 9V battery for portability.
  • Compact unit is pocket sized.
